Hi! I'm Faz.

My name is Faizan Zaidi. Most people call me "Faz."

I'm a high school senior from Melbourne, Florida.

I plan to study medicine, with an emphasis on Public Health.

Whether I'm talking about Covid-19 on my podcast or creating a hydroponic system during of one of my STEM programs, science education is important to me. I've specifically worked towards medical education within Public Health. Along with my podcast about Covid-19, I've run vaccination drives and information seminars in vaccine-hesitant communities, especially those without medical education resources, in my community in Florida.

In the future, I plan to continue studying Public Health. I've been promoting vaccination, and I aim to expand into other forms of preventative care. Developing universally-available preventative care resources is essential for the next generation of hospitals and patient care. It'll also reduce the burden on highly-limited emergency service availability. During my vaccine drives, I've seen how in low-income and minority communities, preventative care inadequacy is especially pronounced. In the future, I plan to specifically focus on these under-resourced areas when promoting preventative care.
